Joy And Strength

The Joy of the Lord is my strength Nehemia 8 - 10

This verse penetrated my heart very deeply on April 21st 2013 during a Sunday Service.
This particular verse is usually read upon leisurely, but on analysis it reveals a much greater meaning.

A baby's smile brings rejoice to its mother and out of that joy she nurtures him wholeheartedly leading to a joyful family life. On the contrary, if the mother is troubled , she fails to understand the expression behind the innocent baby's face. Once the baby grows, like every good mother, she'd expect it to understand her.

A good mother wants her children to walk on the right path and raises them with this expectation.
She does this in the sole intention that the Family will be in peace.
It is sort of like a good meal ; the starter is mother's true love, the main dish comprises of our dedication to her love and it is deliciously topped up with the joy that the latter gives when the intercede. This is metaphorically our Daily Bread of Life to live longer.
When a mother expects this much , then what will our Father , the rightful One who gives breath to our nostrils expect ??
What can we do to give Him joy ?
  • Reading the Bible and praying daily .
  • Helping the poor and needy .
  • Saying ' I love You God ' ?
Well, guess what ! None of the above makes Him happy as Jesus did!
Jesus Christ has set a benchmark by coming to the earth and living as a human.  He lived just to fulfill His Father's will. He was well aware that His Father God does everything for His good. And this fact gave him the strength to die on the Cross. He had to endure a lot of physical hardship to achieve it and now He is seated right next to Father's throne and is ruling over the universe. Now, that's a well deserved reward.
"If any man serve me, let him follow me, and where I am there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honor."-John 12:26.
So, if we need to get up close with the TRUE FATHER, TRUE GOD, there's no other way than Jesus Christ. That's the privilege only Jesus Christ has. He was that obedient, faithful and humble unto His Father.
Similarly, can't we also be part of such a privilege? Can't we bring joy to our Savior?
It can only be possible with the help of His Holy Spirit.
Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty - Zechariah 4:6
Only when the Spirit of the Lord comes and dwells in us , shall we be set free from bondages and do miracles. Only then , shall we be a light to many others.
When you make someone happy by giving them what they need, it gives you a kind of joy that is very rewarding to yourself and much more to the Father above. And this is how we can be a blessing to others.
Hope in the Lord brings joy to Him. This Hope gives us the strength to face whatever the world throws at our face. And with this Hope, we don't even have to succumb to our enemies rather, learn to love them. Eventually we can lead people out of darkness and no one gets left out.
If you have faith in Jesus , its a reminder that you were also rejected by this world and your help came from the Holy One.
Therefore we shall be OBEDIENT, FAITHFUL, HUMBLE and HOLY by following His footsteps and letting the Holy Spirit work on us.
Once we accomplish this, our Lord Jesus Christ shall rejoice and make merry in Heaven whilst the devil shall be overpowered and there will be no room for the evil one in our lives. The only option he'd have then is to flee and let him be put into FIRE for eternity.
Be strengthened o thou weak one and thou shall bring Joy unto thy Savior
.
God Bless You !
